Nature, Pigments, Water – and the Play of Chance A creative journey through abstraction and the living world

Water and pigments are my essential medium—expressive, elemental, abstract, and fleeting. With them, I capture the movement, mood, or essence of a moment in an instant.

I work in series, always in situ—never from photographs, but directly from nature, filtered through my inner landscape.

The works that emerge stay with me, yet what truly matters is the act of creation itself. It feels like walking a tightrope: I may fall, but I rise, continue, begin again. At its best, it becomes a game—perhaps insignificant to the world, yet in that moment everything to me.

I paint faster than I can think—intentionally. Intuition leads; rationality steps aside. Working alla prima, in one unbroken flow, suits my impatience, impulsiveness, and hunger for life. Painting is a rush, a state of pure presence.

What I create are not traditional “paintings,” but fluid snapshots: captured in sketchbooks, on napkins, paper plates, in sand—sometimes on exquisite papers that form their own aesthetic universe.

Special: You can now watch some of my work processes in close up—perhaps yours?—on my YouTube channel. Feel free to share your own motif ideas with me.
